Fuji Xerox Digital Color Press Configurations Recognized by Fogra for Quality Color Performance

SINGAPORE, November 30, 2011 — Three digital color press configurations of Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd. received FograCert Validation Printing System ( VPS ) certification from Fogra, a graphic technology research association in Germany, fulfilling the requirements based on ISO 12647-8^{Note 1}.

The certified configurations are:

• DocuColor 1450 GA + PX140 Print Server + Color Profile Maker Pro
• Xerox iGen4^® + FreeFlow Print Server + Oris Press Matcher//Web^{Note 2}
• Color 1000 Press + FreeFlow Print Server + Oris Press Matcher//Web^{Note 2}

Additionally, to enhance its Production Services business in the Asia-Pacific region, 30 Fuji Xerox sales analysts from eight countries were certified as Fogra Digital Print Expert ( DPE ), who will be able to provide color management consultation to customers.

Fogra recognizes printers that demonstrate commitment to ISO standards, based on measurable criteria for proofing and printing in a production environment for the printing industry. The criteria for the FograCert VPS certification includes proofing substrate color and gloss, fading and color accuracy. ISO-12647 sets measurable process standard criteria for different printing processes, such as sheet and web offset printing, coldset printing ( newsprint ), and digital printing ( focusing on proofing ).

The recognition underscores the accurate color reproduction, uniformity and high stability of the presses as well as performance of print server and color management system software. These provide a consistent, accurate and high-class color output, instrumental for the professional businesses and organizations where image quality is the most important.

Furthermore, Fuji Xerox aims to increase the certified Fogra DPE and encourages customer engineers to obtain the certificate as well. This enables customers to receive color management consultation in an entire process from the introduction of digital color presses to the implementation.
