Commences the Service at 300 Small to Mid-Sized Businesses in Designated Areas

TOKYO, February 4, 2010 — Starting this month, Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. launched the Working Portal,Note 1 an enterprise portal service for small to mid-sized businesses, designed to help promote the use of information technology and improve work efficiency. The company initially provides the service to 300 companies in designated areas across Japan.Note 2

The Working Portal features functions to enable users to carry out their daily work in an efficient manner, including schedule management, task management, document management, and bulletin boards. As an enterprise information portal, it promotes active communications in performing a variety of tasks-by displaying work progress, enabling management to send out messages, sharing notices and information, allowing discussions among staff, and by simplifying the tedious task of adjusting everyone's schedule.

The Working Portal can also function as a forum for getting advice on work operations and for exchanging information with Fuji Xerox. In addition to inquiries regarding the Working Portal itself, customers can also post comments/requests to Fuji Xerox, as well as consult about issues on IT usage or work operations, and Fuji Xerox will respond through the bulletin board. If necessary, Fuji Xerox's sales staff or customer engineers will provide further support.

Although small to mid-sized businesses have increasingly adopted IT into their operations, most of the daily work is still carried out with paper documents and fax communications, and effective IT utilization in the workplace remains a challenge. However, they are not always able to commit sufficient investment or personnel to address this challenge. The Working Portal is aimed at helping such customers achieve more effective use of their IT resources.

By continuously providing diversified document support services through the Working Portal, which meet its customers' demands, Fuji Xerox helps them improve their work efficiency. The company is committed to facilitating smooth communications with its customers to strengthen partnerships with them.

Note 1
The Working Portal will be provided as an enhancement to Fuji Xerox's existing network outsourcing services, “beat/basic Service” and “beat/entry Service.”
Note 2
