Fuji Xerox New Full-Color Digital Multifunction Device Strengthens Product Range for SMB Market

TOKYO, November 24, 2009 — Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will release the DocuCentre-IV C2260 full-color digital multifunction device for small offices on December 7, 2009 in Japan, and sequentially in Asia Pacific including China.

While the company has conventionally expanded its product range for large businesses, it has newly developed the compact, functional, cost-effective digital multifunction device leveraging existing technologies tailored to the needs of small to medium-sized businesses (SMB)based on a thorough market survey. The sales will be mainly conducted through Fuji Xerox's sales companies and dealers.

In addition to the core functions including copy, print, fax^{Note 1} and scan,^{Note 1}, the DocuCentre-IV C2260 features compactness (width x depth is smallest in the industry)^{Note 2} and user-friendliness. The device also offers industry-leading energy-saving performance^{Note 3} and various cost-effective functions resulting in the reduction of total cost of ownership (TCO).

TCO Reduction due to Compactness

• With its space-saving design including thinner bypass tray and duplex unit, the DocuCentre-IV C2260 takes up approximately 20% less space than previous models. In addition, the device has minimized its noise and reduced energy consumption by employing a new silent design with fewer cooling fans in the main body, which do not rotate in standby mode unlike previous models. This makes the device unobtrusive even beside desks and reduces the cost of office space.
• Fax features allow users to avoid needless paper output and to print only the required documents, or to reject incoming unwanted direct mails.
• Without printing in full-color, the text highlighted in red can be underlined or shaded in monochrome printing, thus reducing color output.

Improved User-Friendliness

• The device is easy to operate thanks to a newly-developed color control panel with “Simple Copy Screen” and “Simple Fax Screen” which display the frequently-used features in large font. ^{Note 1}
• The USB port built into the control panel enables users to directly save scanned data to a USB flash memory. In addition, digital data or images saved in a USB flash memory can be printed out without going through a PC, which boosts work efficiency.
