Printing Directly From OPROARTS and OPROARTS for Salesforce
Brings Further Convenience to Mobile Working
TOKYO, September 9, 2009 — Net Print ServiceNote 1, jointly operated by Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. and Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd., is now linked for the first time with the online SaaSNote 2 services offered by OPRO Japan Co., Ltd. and salesforce.com Co., Ltd. This new service is to be launched on Sept. 14, enabling businesspeople working in the mobile environment to print out a range of forms such as estimates from Fuji Xerox's multi-use copy machinesNote 3 installed at Seven-Eleven stores across Japan.
As cloud computing and SaaS technologies develop, mobile working utilizing PCs and smartphones is becoming widespread. This in turn has increased demand for off-site printing at the destination of a business trip or sales visit.
To respond to such evolving IT technologies and customer needs, the Net Print Service has been linked up with SaaS services for the first time, enabling documents created using OPROARTSNote 4 and OPROARTS for SalesforceNote 5 to be printed on multi-use copy machines at Seven-Eleven stores. OPROARTS is an Internet form creation and distribution service provided by OPRO Japan, while OPROARTS for Salesforce runs on Salesforce CRM provided by salesforce.com.
With the new service, users can create forms using Salesforce CRM and other interfaces accessible through PCs and smartphones, and print them out at the nearest Seven-Eleven store. It offers a convenient printing environment for mobile workers by delivering a solution to urgent printing needs—such as creating an estimate and submitting it to a client without going back to the office.
The Net Print Service allows users to register electronic documents at the Net Print Center (a dedicated data storage site) and print them from a multi-use copy machine at Seven-Eleven stores. The service is being increasingly adopted for both personal and business use as a handy printing solution taking advantage of the infrastructure of the 12,467 (as of August 2009) Seven-Eleven convenience stores across Japan.
By linking with SaaS applications, Net Print Service's convenient and easy-to-use printing service will expand to meet an even wider range of customers' needs.
