Fuji Xerox Launches DocuCentre C1101 That Flexibly Responds to Digitization Needs and a Network Environment in Small/Mid-Sized Offices

TOKYO, October 22, 2008 — Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will begin sales on November 4, 2008 of DocuCentre C1101, a full-color digital multifunction device for small- and mid-sized offices.

In line with the enactment of such legislation as the Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (J-SOX) and the e-Document Law, the need to digitize paper documents for filing purposes as well as for sharing information has been increasing at small- and mid-sized offices.

The DocuCentre C1101 is an entry model that is the lowest priced in Fuji Xerox’s full-color digital multifunction device range at 850,000 yen (before tax)^{Note 1}. With an optional function, the model achieves a scanning speed of 43 ppm (A4 long-edge) in color, on par with upper models (DocuCentre C2101), thereby enabling fast digitization of paper documents.

Scanned data can be converted to other formats including DocuWorks^{Note 2} and PDF, to be saved on a personal computer or server on the network, or attached to an email and sent^{Note 3}. This facilitates efficient sharing and utilization of documents.

Moreover, a Security Print function^{Note 4} ensures secure print processing in offices where networks are becoming increasingly widespread: Users need to enter a password on the device itself to print highly confidential documents or ones that should not be seen a third party.

By complementing its line-up of color multifunction devices, Fuji Xerox satisfies digitization needs in small- and mid-sized offices and flexibly responds to a network environment.
