TOKYO, August 5, 2008 — Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. revises the price of high-quality paper and recycled paper for copy machines/printers up by 15 to 25 percent sequentially from August 1, 2008.
The primary reasons for the price increase are the global, continued rise in the price of raw fuel such as coal, crude oil and heavy oil, as well as of woodchips and pulp, the raw materials of paper, as reported in the media. Fuji Xerox has been making self-reliant efforts to reduce costs in order to maintain current prices while also taking careful measures in consideration of various issues in the paper manufacturing industry at the start of the year. However, with concerns over a significant impact on stable supply to customers emerging, Fuji Xerox needs to revise up paper prices as it is difficult to maintain the current condition without compromising supply.
Fuji Xerox is committed to providing its customers with high-quality paper for copy machines/printers.
