A Multifunction Model Equipped With Scan, Copy and Print Capabilities Available
TOKYO, January 22, 2008 — Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will begin sales on February 29, 2008 of large-format ink jet printers, the DocuWide C436, which offers two models -- the “printer model” and “multifunction model” -- targeting Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) market including manufacturing and construction industries.

DocuWide C436
The DocuWide C436 achieves high-speed output of 63 seconds in colorNote 1, which is approximately 1.5 times faster than its predecessor the DocuWide C336, and 41 seconds in monochromeNote 1 in A0 size. While meeting color output needs, the DocuWide C436 contributes to higher productivity. In addition, batch printing is possible to output different format data, such as PDF and TIFF, by using the Job Submission Tool Basic function, which enables users to efficiently print drawings without worrying about data format.
Thus, the DocuWide C436 responds to rising demand of advanced data processing including color output and diverse data format handling capability in line with the recent fast growth of 3D-CAD use for engineering drawings.
Further, scanned dataNote 2 can be sent by simply pushing a button on the control panel, to a maximum of 10 destinations on the network that have been pre-registered. Once set, it is simple to operate by anyone, allowing multiple team members to share drawings.
A maximum of three rollsNote 3 of paper can be mounted on the DocuWide C436. When users set roll paper with different width, the device will automatically detect the size of the drawing and print it on the most appropriate roll. On the other hand, by setting three rolls with the same width, it will switch to other roll when the first roll runs out. This reduces time wasted when paper runs out and saves the trouble of changing paper.
